Up on the mountain, as the blizzards closed in, there was a red glow in the snow. It was there all winter, and when the spring gales blew, the rubies glittered in the sunshine.

While OCD may be a pain, I can't argue with the results here. The feathers' detail is... well, pretty damned incredible. I did some chain mail on a few of my older drawings, and let's just say that cured me of the level of detail you've achieved here. Black-and-white, perhaps, but as with some greyscale photos, the lack of color makes the details all the more impressive. Somehow his eyes look bright and innocent, too. I can't even manage that with pencils, nevermind in ink. Great work!
